Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, cyanophilic (4.5-7) x (3-4.5) µm2. Basidia 4 spored, narrowly club shaped. Hyphal system monomitic, clamps present. Leptocystidia present, resembling hyphae with swollen ends, usually encrusted with crystals and sometimes with resin on the apices.
